Temporary Tariff SurchargeUpdated a day ago

What is the Tariff Surcharge for?
Starting May 1, 2025, we’re applying a small temporary surcharge to all orders. This will show up in the cart and at checkout. This charge helps offset just a small portion of the significantly increased product costs imposed by new U.S. tariffs.

A while back, we announced that we weren’t raising prices — even with rising costs, inflation, and tariffs. And we meant it. We didn’t raise prices. And we're not going to.

But this year, tariffs have gone from:

  • 10% (FEB)
  • 20% (MAR)
  • 54% (APR)
  • 104% (APR)
  • 125% (APR)
  • 145% (APR)

The tariffs today are 10x+ what they were just 3 months ago. And unfortunately, they’re not optional.

Because of these new government-imposed fees,  we have to enforce notice a small temporary surcharge at checkout starting May 1st. This is not going to be the full amount that is imposed, we will bear the majority of the cost ourselves

Effective Date: May 1, 2025

Does Bums & Roses make any money from this surcharge?

None at all. Beginning May 1, companies like ours are being hit with tariffs as high as 145% on our products and they are paid straight to the US Government.,

We’re doing everything we can to keep prices low, which is why we’re not passing the full cost on to you. The surcharge is just a small fraction of the total—we’re absorbing the rest. And this fee is temporary—it’ll be removed as soon as we can possibly do so.

Is the Tariff Surcharge temporary?

Yes! We hope that the “trade war” de-escalates soon, and tariffs are reduced. When that happens, the surcharge will disappear.

Do discounts or rewards apply to the surcharge?

Discounts and rewards apply to the sale price of a product, but not to the surcharge itself. That’s because tariffs are calculated based on product costs, not based on the sale price of those products.

How much will the surcharge be?

10% of retail price, added at checkout.

Is the Surcharge refundable?

No, the surcharge is not refundable. We are charged tariffs upon shipping out an order, we cannot get this back even if the order is returned. There is no surcharge charged on exchanges.
